To improve PayPal's finance function, this position requires in-depth knowledge of the AP Domain and account reconciliation, MIS reporting, analytical abilities, and situational leadership experience.

Job Description

  1. Essential Responsibilities:Initiate accounting processes to ensure financial statements meet local GAAP
  2. Monitor the accounting closing process and post journal entries for any required adjustments in the local ledger
  3. Support the organization in meeting local and global regulatory obligations
  4. Drive process control rigor to support quarterly certification on financials
  5. Implement monthly financial reports and analytics to support structured risk-based monthly financial reviews
  6. Implement statutory financial statements and ensure timely completion of statutory audits
  7. Facilitate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounting close activities
  8. Review and prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, roll-forwards, and month-end reporting packages

Minimum Qualifications

3+ years relevant experience and a Bachelor’s degree OR Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Additional Responsibilities & Preferred Qualifications

  1. Prepare account reconciliations, ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies and financial reporting standards.
  2. Ensure comprehensive open item narratives, variance analysis & escalation
  3. Partner with all dependent teams upstream like procurement, IT & vendors to ensure escalatables reduction
  4. Establish MIS reporting to provide visibility to leadership of open account balances and clear plan of action.
  5. Ensure proper reporting under U.S. GAAP, including application of internal policies and SOX controls.
  6. Lead all audits for Accounts payable and collaborate with internal and external auditors, providing documentation and insights as needed
  7. Support special projects or system implementation initiatives within PayPal
  8. 10+ years of experience, with 5+ years in Accounts Payable & account reconciliations
